We 're selling the firm .
The age of the owner and the lack of a suitable successor are the main reasons for the sale of thriving bakeries and confectioneries in our country.
They are unable to build enough confidence in a stranger to hire him in a bakery and entrust him with a lifetime's wages.
This note applies primarily to those who are starting to build their own bakery or bakery, and they should decide whether they want to work alone their whole lives or whether they want to share their successes and difficulties with someone else.
It should be added here that the average size of enterprises run by consensual partners or partners are much better organised and therefore more valuable.
W-MOSZCZYNSKI-2019-10-08– The wine partner?
A business partner is not a partner for a company, it's not a friend. In business, there's no friendship, and that's the common interest. People choose because together they're a potential that alone is not enough to run a business. A bakery is a difficult undertaking.
One day, the raw material must be made into a product that has to be disassembled and sold, and the unsold baked goods must be collected and used, and so every day, without interruption, without a discounted tariff.
The perfect solution is a partnership that splits the business effort between the two, and the best chance of creating a partnership is at the beginning of the business.
Unfortunately, as experience has shown, most business partnerships break down. The breakdown of cooperation usually occurs during the company's maturity period, when the company makes a lot of income and the workload is relatively low. It seems that the struggle between partners is usually materially based.
Unfortunately, the basis for the disagreement is a little more complex. How do you find a suitable partner to run a bakery so that the relationship is beneficial and lasting?
The partners may agree, it's not a rule that there's a fight between them.
There are many examples of good cooperation between partners around the world: William Hewlett and David Packard (HP printers), Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach (Daimler-Benz), brothers Adolf Rudolf Dassler (Adidas)
He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Puma, brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield (Ben & Jerry's), brothers Aaron, Szmul, Hirsz Wonsal (Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.).
In fact, most of them are brothers, and some of them have withstood the test of time, but they've all been incredibly successful, and they've been in a business relationship for a very long time, or for a very long time.
We assume that we're looking for the right partner at the beginning of a business because later, research shows, it's almost impossible to find a partner.
We're talking about a project that needs to be built from the ground up and then run effectively. It's not about a common chemistry. It's obviously got to be as good as it is. It's about both partners being respectful and respectful of each other's independence.
Below, I have listed the four most important areas where a split between partners can occur.
1. Sharing of ownership
The need to form a partnership may arise for financial reasons: one person has the appropriate qualifications and aptitudes to run a bakery, has the appropriate professional knowledge and practice; the other has the appropriate capital capacity.
In the event that the partners contribute disproportionate shares to a new company, a great deal of emphasis should be placed on determining the equity distribution. A convenient solution is to divide equity into shares.
2. Role of partners
It is preferable that the partners have complementary competencies, each of which should have its own area of activity and both should not get in the way of each other.
This works positively for the sustainability of cooperation. An example of such a division in a bakery could be the manufacturing and distribution and sales spheres. Each of these spheres has its own problems, different procedures and standards.
Since production and sales are two different processes, both areas may not be fully understood.
There are always conflicts at the intersection of processes, but these conflicts are not a threat to the sustainability of the company, rather, they improve cooperation in the long run.
If the partners are deprived of their own areas, if they manage all the areas together, it's only a matter of time before their bakery breaks down.
3. Common purpose
The common goal is what unites people, and if each partner has a different vision of bakery development, the collapse of the partnership is inevitable.
Whether they want to create new types of businesses or to stick to a stereotypical business profile, partners should agree on future strategies and directions for the bakery's development, and even generally define the methods that will be used to achieve common goals.
4. Respect and Trust
You can look for a business partner in a circle of friends or family, but that doesn't guarantee success, but it's a partnership that connects partners through their shared environment. It's not the best bond. The key to the longevity of any relationship is mutual respect. Partners should respect each other, have respect for each other.
It's very important that they're open to each other, that respect and openness build trust and predictability.
There's no golden recipe for finding the right partner for good or bad.
In order for a partnership to be lasting, partners need to be in need of each other, which means that each of them must be independent in their area and be effective there. The most important thing is mutual respect and trust. Partners need to help each other, protect each other. This is the only way to guarantee the sustainability of cooperation.
